It is  designed with a pouch on the inside to allow honey or other sweets to be added to your drink as the eheat will cause it to seep in through the small whole in the bottom. This piece also comes a lid to help contain the heat and to even rest your tea bag. This piece has been soda fired, giving it a crystal-like appearance to its glazes.
